Learn to play the piano

'A skill that will last a life time, and bring enjoyment to everybody who listens..'

I believe that everybody can learn - regardless of age. I cannot remember my first piano lesson - I am told that I was only five years old! My youngest student is only four years old, but still learns something new each lesson!

I was taught by several teachers, and learnt something valuable from each,
helping me achieve my Grade Five practical examination through the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music. I am currently studying to achieve
Grade Eight during 2012.

I spent a number of years working as a pianist at the Bear Hotel in Wantage, Oxfordshire while studying. I played for hours without music because I can listen to most music and then play it on the piano.

What I really enjoy about playing the piano most of all (apart from writing my own music), is the satisfaction of being able to play good music from a variety of styles just by listening.

The teaching method I use develops this 'musical ear', so eventually my students will be able to do the same.

Piano playing is a skill that somebody never forgets. Regular practice helps the musician progress further - I am a strong believer in that.
